In this cold winter and poor economy, it is very tough trying to find ways to save money and still provide warmth for your family. PG&E is ridiculous. Duraflame and other logs are outrageous. You see ads all over C-List for firewood at prices only those who don't need to save can afford. Now please don't get me wrong, I do not hold anything against those who are well off and doing well for themselves. I am truly happy for them. As for the rest of us, it is hard to find ways to cut back, get by and still be comfortable.
I came across an ad for firewood at $10 and thought this must be too good to be true. I called the number given to find out more information and to arrange a time to pick up the firewood. When my wife and I arrived a man named Jack greeted us with a warm smile and a hand shake. He directed us to the backyard where he showed us mountains and mountains of firewood in different types and sizes. He explained the prices of every sized bundle, half chord and full chord. I couldn't believe the prices. My jaw dropped. Here are all these ads for 300 a chord, 150 for a half chord claiming those are discount prices. Jack had a $10 bundle that�s 3 times the size of those $6 bundles you see at foodmaxx or whatever. Jack showed me a full chord priced at $100. My wife and I took a few minutes to figure out what was best for us. How much we'd need for fishing and camping, what would fit in our fireplace....etc. We decided on 2 $20 bundles of short cut firewood. Me being a man thought we needed more and a longer cut. My wife being the smart one explained to me that the $20 bundles were huge and we needed the short cut so it would fit in our fireplace. I'm glad she's the voice of reason because those 2 $20 bundles pretty much filled the back of my F-150.
Not only did Jack sell us this wood at a great price, he helped us load it and threw in a few extra pieces to top off the truck. It was a pleasure listening to Jack tell us how he started his business and how he took interest in our camping and fishing stories. After helping us load Jack asked us if we had a plastic bag. He explained that he was going to give us some oranges off of his tree. My wife and I couldn't stop smiling. Here is a man that we have never met going out of his way to make us happy. Not only did he give us the firewood at a great price, helped us load it, treated us like friends and gave us a bag full of oranges from his own tree.

If you need firewood at a great price then I urge you to give them a call. What they offer is Customer Service at its best. They have several ads posted in the General and Wanted listings.

After handing us the oranges Jack said "Thank You, Have a great night and a very Merry Christmas.� As we drove past him and out of his gate he waved and said......."Good luck Fishing"

I have 3 file boxes full of Christmas lights. My parents have decided that, since I don't live at home anymore and haven't helped them put them up in 4 years, they no longer need them.

Around 10 white
3 red/white/green
Between 2-4 of each color: red, orange, blue, green

All of them have been tested, and only a few strands did not work. SInce most of them had a half string out, there is a burnt-out bulb on it somewhere. I don't have the time to track down which one, but should be easy to do.

These have been reduced for quick sale, asking ONLY $40 for EVERYTHING! That is $1.50 a string, you can't get them this cheap anywhere else.
