This is my Tarmac SL8 that I had Action Sports, in Bakersfield, build for me about a year ago. It’s very low miles, and looks brand new. There isn’t one scratch, ding, or blem and it has never seen rain. This bike can be displayed in a bike shop showroom and would pass as new.
(This is not a clapped out SL8 S-Works or Pro that has been ridden a hard 12k-15k miles this last year with a bunch of crits and races under its belt)
For this build I started with a brand new SL8 Frame in Gloss Smoke/ Obsidiun. I went new SRAM Red Components, a 46/33T 170mm Power Meter Crankset, brand new featherlight all Carbon Selle Italia SLR 143mm Saddle, S-Works Bottle Cages, Roval Rapide Bars (38mm wide). The only component that wasn’t brand new on this build was the top of the line Roval Rapide CLX (1400 gram) wheelset that I removed from my SL7 build to put on this SL8. The wheels are also in perfect condition.
With pedals, this build was 15lbs, 9 ounces. Where this build sits in reference to factory built SL8’s: It is barely below an S-Works build and way above a Pro level build.
To build up a bike like this, you’d be above $12,000. I have this priced for a quick sale at $6,200
Don’t waste my time with anything lower than that. If this add is up, it’s still available. Any DM’s asking “If it’s still available”, will not be answered. The person who buys this is going to be OCD like myself and will see value in how good this bike has been taken care of and the top tier components used.
