I turn 75 this year and have decided to sell part of my road bike collection. Therefore, I am offering my1985 Vitus 979 equipped with a Shimano 600 EX Group. In the 1980s and 90s this was a very popular bike for triathlons and the same frame used by Shawn Kelly for many of his Tour de France stage wins. A very fast and light bike for its day
The Vitus 979 features a bonded and lugged aluminum frame and fork. The Shimano 600 EX groupset (now called Ultegra) is the last generation featuring friction (not indexed) shifting.

The bike looks good but does show its age having the expected scratches, but no dents. This is a great riding classic road bike.
