Framed Walt Disney Movie Poster: "Mickey Mouse Disco: a Cartoon Short with a Disco Beat" (1979; Walt Disney Productions)

Includes the original foil inventory label from RETLAW Enterprises, Inc.: #1411.

The short animated film featured on this poster includes disco music combined with classic Disney animation from the studio's most celebrated animators (including Fred Moore, Ward Kimball, Norm Ferguson, Ken Peterson, Wolfgang Reitherman and more)

The following Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts are featured in the music video:

Symphony Hour
Mickey's Delayed Date
Clock Cleaners
Thru the Mirror
Mr. Duck Steps Out
How to Dance
The Three Caballeros
Mickey's Birthday Party

Poster is mounted and framed with original one-sheet poster folds; 27" x 41". The poster was designed by legendary Disney illustrator, Paul Wenzel.

Includes the original foil inventory label from Walt Disney's private company, RETLAW Enterprises, Inc.: #1411. Previously owned and displayed by Lillian Disney at her former Malibu beach home (originally part of the Anthony Heinsbergen estate).

Glossy white laminate over wooden frame has some wear from use; but still in good condition. An historic inspiration for the music video craze that followed with the debut of MTV in 1981.

The short was meant to capitalize on the "Saturday Night Fever" / Disco craze that had swept the nation... as Mickey wears his platform shoes and white suit. However, the disco craze had already begun to fade by 1979 / 1980 and the production disappeared from view. In recent years, the film has gained somewhat of a cult following with a mix of classic Disney animation with the popular disco music era of the 1970's

Local Pick-up only; at mutually agreeable public location in NW Bakersfield. No Shipping Available. $150.00; cash only; no holds; first-come / first-served.
