We are hiring an experienced Full-Time Receptionist & Office Assistant to join our team at Americana Tax & Financial Corporation in Bakersfield, CA. We are seeking a reliable, client-focused professional who excels at frontline client handling, processes financial transactions accurately, and maintains a highly organized front office.
Key Responsibilities
• Client Handling: Serve as the primary point of contact, greeting visitors warmly and managing a busy multi-line phone system.
• Payment Processing: Securely handle cash, check, and credit card payments from clients, providing accurate receipts.
• Account Updates: Update client accounts accurately in our database immediately after transactions are completed.
• Office Coordination: Manage daily mail, organize confidential files, schedule appointments, and maintain the reception area.
• Future Growth: Learn to assist clients with Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) paperwork and basic insurance quotes.
Job Requirements
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in cash handling, point-of-sale systems, or professional customer service.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong basic math skills, and a high level of trustworthiness.
• Behavioral Standards: Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality, compliance, and a collaborative office culture.

Compensation & Benefits
• Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience).
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8-hour daily shifts.
