Watsonia, also called Bugle Lily grows well here in Bakersfield. Hummingbirds love the orange-red tubular flowers. Plant grows up to 3 feet tall so it does well along a fence. Watsonia grows from a corn. Plant it now and it will sprout in the fall and flower in the spring.
