The Pros: In the last year I’ve resealed a few cylinders and replaced some hydraulic hoses. It has a rebuilt starter and new batteries.
The Cons: it has a significant hydraulic leak in one outrigger and in the mast cylinder of the hoe. If you don’t fix it, it’ll cost you a bucket of hydraulic fluid to do a days work. Given the amount of work this machine can do, it’s not a bad deal. It’ll cost you about $800 to have the two cylinders resealed at a shop. But if you know how to do the work, it’ll cost you $100 in parts. One tire also gets low on air every couple of months. It looks like an issue with the valve stem.
Only selling because my ranch is built and I don’t have any more work for it. It’s been sitting a lot for the last couple of years and the seals dry up, batteries die, etc. the machine needs to be working. If you can work on old machines, this is the perfect machine for you. I know a person that can transport the backhoe if necessary.
