Class A Driver / Crane Operator – Santa Maria, CA
Pay: $25–$35/hour (DOE)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable Class A Driver / Crane Operator to safely deliver and unload precast concrete products. This role involves driving, operating a crane, securing loads, and following all DOT and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform pre-trip and daily vehicle/crane inspections and complete required logs (ELD)
Safely load, transport, and unload products such as manholes, septic tanks, and retaining wall blocks
Secure loads using chains, straps, and binders
Operate crane to offload materials safely at job sites
Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety guidelines
Communicate with customers at delivery sites and obtain proof of delivery
Complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for each job
Assist with loading/unloading and yard or production work when needed
Report any vehicle or equipment issues to management
Requirements:
Valid California Class A CDL (with endorsements)
Current DOT Medical Card
NCCCO Crane Certification (TLL – required)
Minimum 2+ years of flatbed driving experience
Ability to safely operate a boom truck/crane
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for long periods while driving
Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Preferred:
High School Diploma or GED
