Position Summary
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working directly with experienced estimators and project managers on public works and commercial construction projects throughout California.
The selected candidate will assist with project bidding, plan review, quantity takeoffs, vendor coordination, and administrative support related to construction estimating and project management.
Responsibilities
Review construction plans and specifications
Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
Organize bid documents and project files
Contact suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
Maintain bid tracking spreadsheets
Assist with project scheduling and coordination
Support project managers with administrative tasks
Learn public works bidding and contract procedures
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from:
Construction Management
Engineering
Business Administration
Architecture
Industrial Technology
Related field
Strong organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Ability to learn new software and construction processes
Excellent communication skills
Construction experience is helpful but not required
