VetSec HD is seeking professional, dependable Unarmed Security Officers for a large Solar Field Construction Site in Bakersfield, CA. This is a full-time, long-term assignment. We are looking for candidates who understand the expectations of security work in California and can maintain a safe, orderly environment on an active construction project.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain a high-visibility security presence at the solar field/construction site.
Control site access: verify credentials, manage visitor/vendor entry, and maintain accurate logs.
Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of designated areas, including perimeter checks.
Observe, document, and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, trespassing, theft, vandalism, or policy violations.
Enforce site rules and post orders in a firm, professional manner.
Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident reports.
Communicate effectively with site management, employees, contractors, and emergency services as needed.
Assist with emergency response procedures (medical incidents, fire, evacuation, severe weather, etc.).
Minimum Requirements (California Compliance)
Applicants must meet all California BSIS standards for unarmed security officers:
Valid California BSIS Guard Card (Security Guard Registration)
Must have completed the required 8-hour pre-assignment training and be registered with BSIS. BSIS+1
Ability to complete additional BSIS training within required timeframes (skills training during the first months of employment). BSIS+1
Clean background / Live Scan clearance as required by BSIS. BSIS+1
Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the U.S. BSIS
Reliable transportation to and from a remote/outdoor job site in Bakersfield.
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions (heat, wind, dust) and remain alert for extended periods.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in construction-site, industrial, or solar-field security.
Military service, law enforcement, or public safety background.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Bilingual abilities are a plus.
